Ocarina of Time 3D Released

It's out, well at least here in Germany. In order to get the 25th Anniversary Ocarina of Time CD I bought this game today and registered it, even though I don't have a Nintendo 3DS yet. (Nintendo doesn't even cover this case in their registration questions, so I had to tell them, that I bought a Nintendo 3DS for the game...) Luckily as of today the Club Nintendo works again, so I could order one of those fine CDs. I will post pictures of the CD, as soon as I get it, but for now here are some photos of the game's packaging:

Wow, this is damn cheap! They announced, that they would use cheaper packages "to save the environment" or whatever, but this is getting below all standards. Remember the times, where we would get a nice booklet with beautiful artwork and a map? The NES Zeldas or A Link to the Past for example got this. Unpacking the game alone already was purely magical. Good times. But now we don't even get a booklet, it's just some folded paper covering the pure basics, wtf... No wonder they had to include the Sheikah Stones vision guide.

By the way, like I thought they also sold the preorder boxes, but for 5 Euro. If it had been cheaper, I would have bought another one. But they're still selling the Metroid: Other M preorder boxes with a key chain. FOR 10 CENT. This game is so unpopular, they can't even sell a key chain with its logo on it for 10 Cent! (Of course I bought yet another one, the game certainly had its flaws, but it was not that bad.)

Well, now I just need a Nintendo 3DS... I plan to rent one, but I don't know how expansive this is or if our video rental store even has one. Update: They don't lend a 3DS system or even 3DS games in our video store, those suckers... so I guess, I won't be playing Ocarina of Time 3D for now...

Yeah same here - iam also pretty tempted to buy the game and rent a 3ds. I found a place to rent one (verleihshop.de) but its 30 Euronen for one week. Thats to much imho.
Also iam surprised the german version doesnt seem to put those holes in the new eco packaging to good use like other versions do: http://kotaku.com/5803344/ocarina-of-time-puts-those-new-3ds-cases-to-good-use

ok, just researched a bit and it seems that the rupees are only inside the preorder bonus box. Bummer - that it such a nice touch!

Actually I'm not too unhappy that we didn't get the rupees, I though it looked kinda ugly... :D I also prefer the European packaging over what the preorder packaging would have looked like (like the US one).

Mhhh, renting a NDS in Video World costs 1,50€ per day, that's 10,50€ for a week, which is okay. However, our store here still doesn't have the 3DS and doesn't plan to get one...
