Wii U? What's that?!

What a pathetic display...!

The latest Nintendo Direct was rather disappointing. And I'm not only talking about the "30th Anniversary" of The Legend of Zelda (more on that later), but Nintendo's current direction in general. I've already talked about this problem, but Nintendo is only furthering it.

No one should have bought the Wii U

Just because the Wii U wasn't successful, Nintendo is porting nearly every game to the Nintendo 3DS with its bigger install base. Yoshi's Woolly World 3DS? Super Mario Maker 3DS? They are killing all the exclusive Wii U titles and in the end, everybody with a Nintendo 3DS could have skipped the Wii U. I was even expecting Splatoon 3DS at some point in the Direct, but they are probably saving the port for NX...

This is what happens, if you ever invest in a Nintendo system that's not performing well. But that only makes things worse in the end.
