Breath of the Wild: Official Soundtrack Announced

Just in time for the 1st Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo has announced a five disc soundtrack for the game, which will be released in Japan on April 25th. It will contain 211 tracks, including music from The Champions' Ballad DLC, as well as a booklet with developer commentaries.

There's also a Limited Edition, which looks really sharp:

While the Standard Edition looks like this:

Other than looking nicer, the Limited Edition also comes with a Play Button that plays 15 "Field" tracks from the series:

That's a very nice idea and probably covers everything except for the Capcom Zelda games. The Oracle games simply used the Link's Awakening overworld theme anyway, while Four Swords didn't really have one. The Minish Cap might be left out, however, because of music rights, but let's see. It might also be that Tri Force Heroes didn't make it on this thing, while The Minish Cap did, because much like Four Swords the 3DS multiplayer title doesn't really have an overworld theme, unless you count the Forest stages or the Town of Hytopia.

It's also possible that certain games are features twice, e.g. the Dark World / Lorule theme of A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds. So, it will be interesting to learn the track list of this thing.

Otherwise it's really just a nice collectible. I don't really have a CD player ready anymore and CDs seem like a thing from the past, so having a box of CDs is a pure collection item these days. I also do have the bare bones soundtrack that came with the Limited Edition of the game, but it mostly just featured the village tracks. I also got the soundtracks for A Link Between Worlds and Ocarina of Time 3D, but it's just all for the collection and I never listened to the actual CDs. Some of them are even still wrapped in plastic...
