In all seriousness, I get that not everybody likes Minecraft or wanted it represented in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. But Super Smash Bros. is still a game where all of gaming can collide, no matter the visual style or the demographics. Well, except hentai or anything that shows too much cleavage, really...
But whatever you find to be a bad pick for Smash, it will ultimately make someone else happy.
Jeez, is there drama again? I thought that presentation was pretty fun. Looks hella complicated to play though, but given the source material that's to be expected.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's mainly people who never wanted to have Steve in the first place, because they don't like the very different art style, because they don't consider Steve to be a real character or because they think that Minecraft is a game for kiddies (which is quite untrue and vastly ironic).
ReplyDeleteThese people were convinced that Minecraft will and should never make it into Smash Bros., at least not in the form of a playable fighter, but here we are. And from their perspective Nintendo has lost their minds... So, you'll find all sorts of people who are really made about this, though the general reaction seems rather positive by now.
Some people were also simply shocked, but have warmed up to the idea after Sakurai's presentation on Saturday.
