Nintendo has released the Traversing Hyrule Trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom earlier today. I'm not sure this even qualifies as a trailer, because it's more of a showcase, which goes into more detail about what we've seen in the Announcement Trailer back in June, which technically also wasn't a trailer. Well, part of it was.
The whole thing is almost six minutes long and first goes through the different new areas found around the Hyrule from A Link to the Past, where we learn about the different tribes who live there, which includes a confirmation of the Gorons.
Then it shows the Adventure Log, which keeps track of Side Quest, exactly like in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Like in those games, you will also get a material system, which can be used to make smoothies, as a fancy new version of potions. And there is a whole outfit and accessory system, though a bit more simplified.
In addition, they briefly show the warp points, which are called "Travel Waypoints" and work similar to how they do in the Link's Awakening remake, except that you don't need to play a song, you can just select them from your map. And there are horses now, where you can have different ones and they can be called from anywhere via carrot echoes, which should already make them a lot more useful than in Tears of the Kingdom.
Most importantly, they introduce the second main ability in the game, called "Bind", which makes entities copy your movements or the other way around. This feels like an evolution of the Dominion Rod and shows a lot of potential in combination with echoes, which really puts this game on a similar plane of craziness to what we had with the Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend and Recall in Tears of the Kingdom.
That's all of it in a nutshell. I will go over most of this and some interesting details with individual posts over the course of the next days, so stay tuned.
