Chili_Pat on reddit has already completed Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment in its new Forbidden Difficulty mode and has compiled a list of all rewards for your efforts. And I wanted to share this, because it's quite interesting:
You get six upgrades for both the rations and portable batteries, doubling both. This is very, very valuable, where I will certainly keep the Vicious Battles in the Forbidden Difficulty for last, so I can make good use of these upgrades.
And there is actually a small reward for doing it all with a new gallery entry. It's nothing essential, so you won't be missing out if you don't like the Forbidden mode, but it's a beautiful gesture for those who like to be thorough.
However, this certainly confirms that there won't be any more free updates coming. Well, they said that it was only going to be the two, so there was no reason to believe otherwise. But if they had actual plans to add more, then they wouldn't have done it like this. It doesn't necessarily dismiss any paid DLC, but makes that also feel less likely, because this has this air of finality to it. A "Ganondorf mode", which is entirely separate from the rest of the game, wouldn't be affected by this, though.
