So, as various news sites are reporting (e.g. Nintendo Life), Tears of the Kingdom is already out in the wild, where some people have gotten it early. And I'm not speaking about reviewers, who certainly have gotten their copies after the preview embargo last Wednesday. I'm speaking about people who clearly are not under some NDA and willing to show and share what they've got.
What's it with this game and leaks? First the Switch OLED, then the full 200 page artbook, now the game itself. Well, it shows for sure how insanely anticipated this is, but it also shows that Nintendo has some work to do, where people will and should get fired / sued.
Needless to say that this blog will avoid any leaks, where I was already avoiding the previews, even though they apparently only show similar things to Aonuma's gameplay, but the devil is in the details. And I've successfully avoided the artbook as well, at least for the most part, where the biggest spoiler for me so far was the name of one of the mystery characters...
Anyway, I will probably stay off Youtube for a while, since this platform always has been the greatest threat for spoilers, because their algorithms simply work that way. "Oh, you like Zelda? Why not look at this trending video about the final boss in the new Zelda game?" This happened to me with Twilight Princess and it hopefully won't happen ever again, but they surely haven't fixed this since 2006.
