Breath of the Wild Switch Log, Entry 6

There wasn't much progress since Monday evening, but I still wanted to give one more update before going into Tears of the Kingdom. This will be more screenshots than anything, where Breath of the Wild is a beautiful game that always makes you want to capture your moments, which is so much more convenient on the Nintendo Switch than it was on the Wii U.

Since all the major things got resolved, my time with the game has been very carefree, where I'm just driving around Hyrule with the Master Cycle Zero (whenever possible) to look for Koroks, Shrines, bosses, and so on...

I left off at Tarrey Town the last time, so I decided to re-explore all of Akkala first, or what was left of it, since I've already went through the northern parts. From there I went on to the areas south of Death Mountain towards Crenel Peak / Crenel Hills.

The biggest milestone was getting 441 Korok Seeds, which is the amount you need to upgrade all your inventory stashes. So, that is done as well. Otherwise I also purchased all the ancient gear and weaponry from the Akkala Ancient Lab and put it into my house in Hateno, simply because I love their glowing effects:

I still don't think that there will be any connectivity to Tears of the Kingdom, because otherwise Nintendo would probably have advertised this. Well, I will find out soon enough, and if I'm wrong and your house progress will somehow be recognized, then I will be prepared and carry over the good stuff. Though, I don't have the Hylian Shield yet.

Speaking of weaponry, I did want to mention that with this playthrough I really started to appreciate the boomerangs more and more. Originally, I didn't like them as much, because they didn't feel like the classic boomerang items at all. But they are very convenient for certain enemy types who like to keep their distance, mainly the wolves and coyotes. And it's really stylish to throw a weapon and catch it during combat.

Otherwise, I have purchased every piece of purchasable armor by now, where now all my money can go into completing Hyrule Compendium from now on. It is still completely empty, except for the two pictures you need to get in the beginning and everything in the "treasure" section, where I needed the latter to get my treasure chest beeps.

This is it for now. I didn't get to 100%, of course. If I were to complete it before Tears of the Kingdom, then I would have needed to start the game in March already, because it simply takes that long for me with the usual work times. But in March I was busy with Metroid Prime Remastered and Bayonetta Origins, where I've really enjoyed those.

And I'm in a very good spot here, where I'm happy with my current progress and I'm sure that I will return to this once I'm done or bored with Tears of the Kingdom. This could stand testament to either game. If at any point I feel the wish to return to Breath of the Wild and just cruise around with the Master Cycle Zero, then I won't be in a place where I'm enjoying Tears of the Kingdom enough. And if I never want to return and finish things here, then Tears of the Kingdom will be too good in its own right. We will see... In any case I wish all of you all the fun with the sequel!
