If there's one quest from the original game that desperately needs an overhaul in the remake, then it's certainly the hunt for Big Poes on Hyrule Field. It wasn't not exactly fun... Without some guide maps, you had to roam the entirety of the field to identify their spawning locations. Then you to move in with your horse from the right angle and be a quick shot with the now, before they disappear into the next best rock wall. And then you had to store them in bottles, but since the fourth Empty Bottle was the reward for the quest, this caused some back and forth to collect all ten.
Now, if you watch the trailer for the remake, you will spot a very different area in Hyrule Field, with larger bodies of water and some Tektites (see screenshot above). And if you look closely, you can spot some purple mass in the background. People have been speculating that this might be a spawn location for a Big Poe, already making it easier to locate them.
And that would be good news if this were the case. Gyro aiming should also make it easier again to hunt them, just like on the Nintendo 3DS, but potentially the remake will also adopt the horse combat mechanics from later Zelda games, meaning that you might be able to swing your sword as well. Otherwise enemies like the Tektites would be super annoying to deal with on horseback.
From the item menu we also know that there is another bottle to find, which may already come in handy for this quest. Alternatively, they could introduce something like the Poe Lantern, which stores the Big Poe Souls, so you don't have to use bottles at all. But getting one more bottle from this quest always felt rewarding, simply because you had to manage with only one to three bottles, so they may leave that as it was.
