Link's Awakening Remake: Potential Spots for Secret Seashells

There will be new Secret Seashells in the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and the prospect of this is very exciting. The nice thing about the Secret Seashells is that they can be hidden absolutely anywhere. They can be lying under bushes or rocks, they can be found in treasure chests, they can be buried in the ground, they can be up in some tree or they can be rewards from side activities like the Chamber Dungeon.

The hiding spots are never random, so like with the Koroks in Breath of the Wild you can often make an educated guess, where a Secret Seashell can be found in the environment. Still, with the new Secret Seashells in the world of Koholint it gives veteran players a nice incentive to look more closely again a second time, because now there could be Secret Seashells in places where they weren't before. (I even already saw two spots with a new pattern on the ground, where a Secret Seashell might potentially be buried...)

The interesting thing is that the original GameBoy game even had some suspicious spots, where you might feel like a Secret Seashell could be hiding there, but where nothing was to be found after all. The remake could use some of these spots to finally add something there to confirm our suspicions. And here are some of these potential places:

Mysterious Woods

This lone tree is where you end up after the racoon tricks you. There is no actual reason to ever go or return to this place in the game, but it's the perfect location for a Secret Seashell that hides in the tree.

Tabahl Wasteland

This skeleton tree forest had nothing to offer in both the original and DX versions. The remake is already adding a Piece of Heart there, but why not a Secret Seashell as well?

Face Shrine Region

This lone rock in the corner always felt suspicious. This gets me every time, where I'm usually convinced that a Secret Seashell is in that spot, but there isn't. They might also turn this into a new warp point, but it any case the suspicious rock in the corner needs something.

Tal Tal Mountain Range

What a weird rock pattern! This is another spot, where I always expected a Secret Seashell to be hidden under the top right rock. Of course at the time, where you first get to this area, you will most likely already have collected 20 seashells for the reward, so nothing should be ever there in most cases. But in the original nothing is ever there in every case... Maybe the remake will finally confirm this feeling that something could be in that corner.

There are of course many other potential places. If you got some ideas, feel free to share them in the comments!
