I don't have the game yet, but the people who do have reported on GameFAQs that the Secret Medicine has been changed in a very annoying way. Remember the GameCube and Wii versions of Twilight Princess, where it puts back the Rupees into a chest, whenever you have already a full wallet? Yeah, it does this in Link's Awakening now, just for the Secret Medicine this time... There is no option to take it anyway, the game just puts it back without a choice. Great.
What is it with Grezzo and changing things to the worse? This will be super annoying for completionists like myself, who want to have a clear dungeon map at the end of a dungeon without any chest icons on it.
There were multiple Secret Medicines to be found in chests in the DX version (one in Levels 6, 7 and 8) and each time you now encounter one, you will have to use up all your fairies and let enemies bring you to zero hearts just so you can open a single chest and get it off your map. This is ridiculously frustrating for completion. What were the developers thinking?
This needs to be patched. And it's a shame that there is something like this in the remake to begin with, because this is a mistake they've already made with Twilight Princess and fixed with Twilight Princess HD, because no one liked this "feature". Why won't they learn from mistakes like this? /rant
Worst case scenario would be, if they also were doing this for Rupees, but apparently the new maximum for Rupees is way beyond 999.
