Link's Awakening Remake: First New Heart Container Confirmed

Another day, another post about the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Today Nintendo of Europe has released their own version of the overview trailer on Youtube. It's almost exactly the same as the Japanese one from last week, but there was one major difference: the reward you get from Dampé for clearing one of the Chamber Dungeon challenges.

In the Japanese version this was just a Fairy Bottle, probably the same that we already saw at E3, but in the European version we're looking at a full Heart Container:

This isn't a big surprise, because we have speculated as much when it was revealed at E3 that the game will have 20 Heart Containers in total (see here). It was clear that there will be some new Pieces of Heart, in fact we already have spotted six of them, but a total of 24 new Heart Pieces seemed a bit much. It's more likely that there will be only 12, which would double the original amount, and the rest comes from new Heart Containers.

Another new Heart Container will be certainly gotten from the boss of the Color Dungeon. It only makes sense and it always felt weird that he/it never dropped one in the DX version. And there possibly might be a Heart Container as one of the new rewards from the Seashell Mansion. Or the Chamber Dungeon hands out more than one... Or it's just the two and there will be a total of 16 new Heart Pieces.

This particular Heart Container that we've seen today is probably won from a later Chamber Dungeon challenge, maybe something that even involves building your own boss rush, where you're limited to chambers with bosses inside them. Apropos chambers, the video also calls the chamber item "Chamber Stone" now.
