IGN has released about ten minutes of footage from some devilish Chamber Dungeons full of bosses and other challenges. You can watch it on Youtube and it's definitely worth a look.
In the footage the Chamber Dungeon has full access to chambers from the first six dungeons, plus the Color Dungeon, where this is the first time that we're seeing contents from the Face Shrine and the Color Dungeon inside the Chamber Dungeon.
With that we can also see the Giant Buzz Blob, the Smasher and Facade for the first time, where the latter seems to have gotten some buffs. He had it coming, since it probably was the easiest boss in the game, but now he can appear in other spots in the room and he summons many more abyss holes that even chase you.
It also seems that every boss in the game will get a normal chamber that you can place anywhere in the dungeon. So, a boss rush dungeon certainly should be possible and might even become one of the later challenges. Apropos challenges, one of them was a three heart challenge, where you're limited to three Heart Containers.
This is also the first time that we can see the Bombs Plus Effect in action, where it rains bombs for a short while in the room with the effect. The Shadow Link Plus Effect was also showcased and hopefully there will be more of these effects than just the two.
Overall the Chamber Dungeon seems like a very versatile feature that will be hitting multiple birds with one stone. It allows for re-arranged dungeons, boss rushes, special challenges and more. It's even possible that this will be extended via DLC, where you can download new chambers with potentially even new bosses, new challenges and new Plus Effects. And this could really add to the longevity of the remake.
PS: It seems that there really are only three of the new Fairy Bottles (which should be more than enough), where it seems that the lower left item spot is reserved for the Boomerang. It would be nice, if you didn't need to trade some other item for it this time.
